Hey all, got an X-Star Premium for christmas and have been out flying just a few times. I live in MN and it is a bit cool this time of year. I flew two weeks ago(temp around 20F) and yesterday(temp 36F), and bot times controller said 'battery overcooled'. any idea that means??? And, how do I know if and when I need a firmware update on the batteries? and how do I do a firmware update on the two batteries I have? Stev
Never fly your machine below 33 degrees. It will affect the lithium-ion in your battery and even though your battery may appear to be fully charged it can suddenly dropped from 80% to about 10%. To counteract this never fly your machine below 33 degrees Fahrenheit Sent from my LG-K330 using Tapatalk
if i'm flying in temps around 40 i put my extra batteries in old socks with hand warmers. works like a charm in keeping them from getting to cold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have flown in -15 celsius (5 degrees) without any problems. The flight time is reduced. I keep my batteries ready by using hand warmers.
