Cold In Canada

  1. Hi all. Just got my xstar premium last week and it has been too cold to do much outdoors with it. I did try a test today but can't get compass calibration to work. Followed all the instructions but calibration failed every time. Maybe its just too cold. (0degreesF)
  2. Roosty6, I feel your pain, -5 C in Nova Scotia today.
  3. The cold certainly doesn't help. I'm in Montreal and its no fun flying at -26 degrees celsius. What can I say, I couldn't wait. Calibration seems to be challengin at those temperatures as I've noticed. Make sure that the landing gear that encases the compass is not covered in snow. keep transmitter away form you when calibrating aircraft and place yourself away from metal objects. Good Luck!
  4. We got it done with a little help. I was just too slow reading the screen and rotating the drone. I've had several successful flights already even in the cold conditions. Working great.
