EVO compass calibration, on EVO axis or ok around body?

Discussion in 'EVO' started by Mark R Smith, Oct 16, 2019.

  1. EVO manual shows calibration performed by rotating EVO around vertical axis, then facing upward for 2nd pass rotations around EVO longitudinal axis.

Local sUAS instructor insisted it is easier and gets same calibration results to hold EVO in your hands, turn your body in a circle with EVO in hand, props until LEDs change. Then hold EVO with nose up and turn your body in a circle.

Ok, us there any difference assuming you and EVO are removed from as much magnetic and electrical interference as possible?
