Flight Rules

  1. While sUAV flying continues to accelerate at a torrid pace, its even more important that those of us either established or new to this mode of aviation respect the airspace regulations.

I’m sure many of you have read or heard about the first documented manned / unmanned collision that took place in September in NY.

Bottom line is that regardless of this person operating under part 107 or not, a TFR was in effect which we all have to respect and be diligent to review prior to flying.

News of events like this with just a slight amount of media twist is all it will take to put an iron curtain on sUAV sharing a lot of the same airspace as manned aviation. So next time you head out, remember to act and fly responsibly so we all can continue to enjoy flying.
