I don't know about the Kindle Fire, but I just bought a very inexpensive 7" Android tablet from Best Buy, it's on sale now for $39 at their website and works just fine with my XStar Premium. here's the link if you're interested: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/digiland-7-tablet-16gb/5246601.p?skuId=5246601
Mike, did you change the screen resolutions on that inexpensive tablet to make it work? Also, do you see any video lag in that tablet? Thanks.
I didn't make any adjustments to screen resolution. I did crank the brightness all the way up and there is a slight lag in the video.
In order to use the Kindle Fire you need to install google play store. Which of course is not what Amazon store wants you to do but there is a work around. If you follow the link provided it really is not all that hard to do. Method #2 is the prefered method IMO but is a little more involved. http://lifehacker.com/how-to-get-google-play-on-a-kindle-fire-and-install-any-1790706649
